Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals
This is your chance to own a robot vacuum. CNET's best-rated models will be on sale during Black Friday and Cyber Monday with discounts of up to 57%..
The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot with smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its run time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also automatically replenishes and self-empties its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.
The Roomba J7+, iRobot's most intelligent robot to date, is the Roomba j7+. The most significant advancement, however, is its camera-based obstacle detection system. This uses AI to identify objects like charging cords and shoes. It's also the first robot to automatically send you a photo of any object it encounters to let you know to stay clear of it in the future.
The Combo J7+ is the most effective mop-bot we've ever tested, picking up spills and dirt effortlessly and leaving no trace that it was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. It can schedule cleanings and even create Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't sweep in areas that you don't wish to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it with a voice.
Its design is an improvement over the rest and features a sleek, top piece that looks more like a toy than a loud, obnoxious one. The Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System automatically empty, which is great to speed up cleaning.
In our tests the j7+ was quick to remove dust dirt, pet hair and other particles. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in one place instead of scattering it all over the floor. It was able capture small pieces of gravel, sand, and even a little grit. The majority of robots cannot achieve this feat. And it did all this without getting tangled up in our pet's hair shedding.
While it's not quite as smart as the Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum and can't clean stairs, the J7+ is a solid option for those who need both mopping and a vac in their home. It's not too expensive, and the IRobot app makes it user-friendly.
While the iRobot Home app is very easy to use, we've found it to be less reliable than other applications that work with robotic cleaners. It can take a while to download updates, and sometimes it's difficult to know if the update is actually working until you've seen it in the action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you are looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean your floors A hybrid is the best option. These bots are equipped with a tank of water so they can mop and vacuum at the same time. They also come with various additional features such as smart mapping, small object avoidance, and the possibility of washing and re-drying mopping pads. The downside is that they can be expensive when purchased at full retail, but during Black Friday and Cyber Monday they usually drop in price.
Roborock is the manufacturer of some of our most loved robotic vacuums and the Q5+ is no exception. disappoint. It's their cheapest auto-empty model, and although it lacks some of the features that are found on more expensive models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still an excellent choice if you're willing to sacrifice a bit to save hundreds of dollars.
The Q5+ is exceptionally gentle when it comes down to obstacles such as walls and table legs. This makes it an excellent choice for homes that have many furniture pieces. It is also very thorough in removing dust bunnies. This is a area where most robot vacuums of lower quality do not excel in. The navigation technology in the Q5+ is excellent and has very few missing in corners and along walls.
Like other Roborock devices like the Q5+, the Q5+ can be controlled with a handful of buttons on the device or via the Roborock app. The app lets you start and stop cleanings or schedules, establish virtual barriers and no-go zones and alter your home map or change the labels of rooms.
If you opt for the Q5+ it includes a new auto emptying dock that is designed to make the robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver however, once it's in place emptying the bin is done easily. It features a large LCD screen that is very useful when setting up schedules and altering settings. This feature isn't essential for everyone, but it can help you easily keep track of the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a sophisticated well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of mopping and vacuuming. Its design and function are among the best on the market however it's expensive.
Its base station looks good and is easily hidden when not in use, and its size is relatively compact. But the station's biggest selling factor is its ability to automate numerous tasks and functions that other robots leave to you. It can store dirty and clean water and electrolyze and heat the water. The majority of other robots require you to perform this.
Its vacuuming capabilities are also impressive. It's the only robovacs that I've tested that does an excellent job of collecting debris from plain floors, and is not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.
However, the Freo X Ultra has its faults, especially in terms of navigation. The laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs, meaning it is sometimes stuck or confused in certain rooms or corners of your home. It's not able navigate stairs as well as some competitors, either, and it doesn't have a dock that allows you to create an area for cleaning that is specifically designed for carpets that are soft.
Although it doesn't have as many in terms of cleaning-related options in its app, or as many shortcuts in the app as other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for anyone seeking a great all-round mop and robot vacuum that's worth the higher price cost.
If you're looking to save money or simply don't care about the limitations of this machine, there are plenty of alternatives on the market, including a lot of eufy models for considerably less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for example is less expensive and offers a similar in-app experience with more features, including the ability to climb stairs, a full-function dock, and better overall vacuuming performance on bare floors and low and high-pile carpets.
4. eufy RoboVac G30
Eufy, a Anker company, has a track record of producing robot vacuums that strike the right balance between features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different it offers a high-quality cleaning of hard floors and carpets and mopping function too at an affordable price point. It's simple to set up, just snap one of the side brushes on, switch it on and plug in the charging dock. The app walks you through the steps needed to connect to your Wi-Fi and then the G30 is ready to go. The dock should be located near an outlet with plenty of room to move.
The G30 is tiny, 2.85 inches tall to be exact It can be tucked away under sofas and other furniture with low clearance. Its design is more subtle when compared to rival models. It is sleek with a black finish with three buttons that are physical for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs a spot in a spiral fashion over two minutes) Recharge and Spot Cleaner. You can also link the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to do unscheduled cleaning with voice commands.
The most important aspect that sets the G30 apart from its competitors is the method it cleans. It uses a built-in mapping to create an image of non-movable objects that are in its path while retaining what it's cleaned and what it isn't able to access. It automatically returns to the base to recharge and continues cleaning where it left off.
The sleek G30 has a few issues. The iRobot Roomba is built better and has lower recurring costs. It charges faster, offers a similar battery life, and performs better on unfinished carpet or floors with low pile. It has a bigger dust bin that doesn't require as much emptying. It also comes with boundaries that prevent it from certain areas. cleaning robots is cheaper and easier to maintain. Its smaller size means that it doesn't need to be emptied as often and has less difficulty handling bulky products like cereal.
